Following the glacial lake outburst in the Rasuwa region, the floodwaters swept away entire villages along the Trishuli River - five days after the disaster began, the second consignment has already reached the crisis area. Ram was able to speak with the responsible minister there and also put forward proposals for the distribution of relief supplies.

Ram knows the area and its villages very well and is now authorised to ask the mayors of the affected communities directly about the actual needs of the displaced population. These requests are then sent by the communities directly to the military base. This allows villages to be supplied by helicopter according to their specific needs. A further delivery will set out in the coming days. Ram has sent a short video about it from the crisis area.

In keeping with our motto “more is not always better”, Ram, Ramesh and the helpers from NHEFoN will take great care to ensure that aid arrives in a coordinated, controlled and needs-based manner.
