Since 1993 the families Peter from Cologne and Schwery-Kinzler from Blatten have been friends. This is the origin of the Swiss friendship with Ram and his family from Kathmandu. Full of enthusiasm Anne Peter told about Nepal and her project again and again. Soon the fire spilled over to Switzerland. In 2005 my family decided to take over a child sponsorship, that was the Swiss start in Gecotec e.V. The last years I was “Swiss delegate”, since 2014 in the board of Gecotec e.V.

Soon I found interested people in my environment who were enthusiastic and convinced of our work in Nepal. The financial, Swiss circumstances induced us to found our own association. Under the name NEPAL Bildung & Gesundheit e.V. (NEPAL Education & Health) we have had our own association structures since 7 January 2017. Our association is tax-exempt and we are now able to hand out our own recognized donation cards to our donors. We work closely with Gecotec e.V. and Nepal Helping.
