Dear supporters,
today we have a photo gallery from the building site from the last few weeks in our building diary. Things are progressing in leaps and bounds and the topping-out ceremony has been celebrated. Everyone deserves a short break from building - and then we’ll continue with renewed vigour!
January 4th
4th of January is a big day. The ladies of the women’s committee and other villagers visit the building site and find out about the status and the future changes that will be brought about by the construction of the maternity and infirmary centre. But not only that, the women of the mountains are tough and very emancipated in many areas. They lend a hand on the building site. A beautiful picture of how it all fits together. By the way: The women in the blue saris you see in the photos below are the village social workers. They are trained by the state in a course to visit children and families in their villages and help, if possible, with problems. They work on a voluntary basis.
